For more than 30 years, Robert Johns and The Kitchen Source have been installing what he describes as a “piece of art in the home that becomes integral to daily life.” With a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and an MBA degree in Finance, he originally envisioned a corporate career and a corner office. Thankfully, things don’t always go as planned.
While Johns grew up in his family’s kitchen remodeling business, he initially pursued a career in insurance. At a big board meeting in New York City, Johns realized that he desired a successful business that could also provide a family focused life. Ultimately, he decided a smaller business would better suit him and his young family and he opened his own kitchen remodeling store in 1981.
Johns’ secret to success is creating an impeccable client experience that is based on quality and trust. He provides an exquisite product and pairs that with a passionate and creative team that engages the client every step of the way. The fact that a significant portion of his business is repeat clients speaks to the conscientious customer service that is the foundation of The Kitchen Source.
