“The most critical step in the design process is getting to know the client. You can’t create a dream space for someone you don’t know.”
Lane’s history in the design business began in childhood. As a custom home builder, her dad shared many hours with Lane at the kitchen table looking at blueprints and walking her through the process of designing and building homes. She proudly accompanied him on the final walk-throughs of his finished projects and was soon creating her own floor plans. While she loved the entire process, she found herself drawn to the intricate details involved in creating beautiful kitchens and bathrooms. Wanting to learn more, interior design and architecture classes dominated her school schedules from middle school through college.
At The Kitchen Source, Lane loves that the full-service business model provides everything a client needs for their dream space from design to build-out. She knows that many clients have a general idea of how they want their space to look, but have no idea where to begin. She works with each client to help them communicate their wants and dreams and then translates that vision into a beautiful space that meets all their needs in the budget provided.
At home, Lane’s heart belongs to her rescue dog Caroline. A self-proclaimed sun lover, Lane has a long list of sandy beach destinations that she hopes to see over the next few years. At least one week of every summer will find her volunteering at SEEK Camp, a week long camp out at Lake Texoma for adults with special needs.
Lane is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
